Below are student-created examples of COLOR posters for Art for Elementary Schools.
Requirements for COLOR poster include:
- Must include a visual example of primary, secondary and intermediate colors (some sort of color wheel is probably the easiest way to communicate this)
- The words: primary, secondary and intermediate should appear on the front of the poster.
- If not on the front of the poster, please include on the back: definitions of each---primary colors, secondary colors, intermediate colors
- If not on the front of the poster, please include on the back: definitions of complimentary colors and analogous colors
- If not on the front of the poster, please include on the back: definitions of warm colors, cool colors
- You could consider designing your poster so that it could be interactive with your students (for example, they could identify warm colors with a magnet or use an indicator of some kind to locate complimentary colors on the poster).
- You may want to consider tying together all of your elements of art posters with a theme (example: a character that is featured on each of the posters).
- Poster should be well balanced in the way it is designed.
